Department: Supply Chain and Data Analysis

Job Summary:

The Senior Merchandise Planner & Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in our supply chain operations, overseeing various aspects from collection planning to sales strategy optimization and data-driven decision-making. Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, this position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandise Planner:

  • Collaborate with stylists and production teams to create and refine the collection plan.
  • Forecast product-level demand across different channels before initiating production orders.
  • Maintain and update stock projections at the category level to manage open-to-buy.
  • Identify best-selling items and facilitate in-season reorders.
  • Develop sales strategies and determine pricing discounts for each product throughout the sales process.
  • Optimize stock allocation among channels and stores, including automated replenishment and stock balancing.
  • Efficiently manage the liquidation of leftover merchandise, optimizing margins and sell-through rates.

Data Analyst:

  • Gather, analyze, and validate data from various systems and distribution channels (Digital, Supply Chain, Wholesales, Retail, Customer Care).
  • Understand the relevance of data to the organization and compare its performance against historical data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate specific topics when necessary.
  • Analyze and compare industry trends with competitors.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance predictability and actionability.

Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of the unique characteristics of our three distribution channels (Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale) to extract actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analytics, including the ability to navigate various systems and tools.
  • Prior experience in team management is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Curiosity and proactivity are highly valued attributes at our organization.
